Manet Mobile Solutions (MMS) was born in Rome in 2015 from a project launched and developed by five young entrepreneurs: Antonio Calia, Marco Barbato, Luca Liparulo, Marco Maisto and Andrea Proietti.
The developed solution, Manet, is a fully customizable digital concierge, available via an App or a physical Device, which accompanies guests before, during and after their stay. The App allows guests to access all the hotel’s information and ancillary services, and to directly book them. The App also includes tourist guides, food and beverage options and other useful travel tips.
At the same time, the App allows guests to remotely check-in and check-out, reducing physical interaction with staff. Manet Device offers guests all the App benefits, as well as the opportunity to make free worldwide unlimited calls, to have free unlimited Internet connectivity, hotspot for connecting their personal devices, audioguides for all main sights of the destination and more.
The hotel is provided with a Dashboard, useful to support the staff in streamlining daily operations, simplifying contacts with guests, and to effectively convey its ancillaries in order to increase revenue.
2016 – MMS was selected for participation in LUISS ENLABS, one of the main startup accelerators in Europe, that was born from a joint venture between LVenture Group (LVG), a holding company investing in digital startups and listed on the MTA Italian Equities Market Stock Exchange, and the LUISS Guido Carli University. Distribution of the Manet solution begins with the signing of the first contract with a prestigious 5-star hotel in Rome: Palazzo Montemartini.
2017 –MMS consolidates its market position in Rome and starts expanding its presence in other big Italian cities (Milan, Florence and Venice).
The first important technological partnerships were signed with Vodafone and Samsung, defining Manet as a high quality product and differentiating it from competitors. The solution gets enriched with more partnerships regarding services and content, in order to offer only the best to travelers and to operators of the tourism sector.
2018 – MMS strengthens its presence throughout the Italian territory and initiates distribution in Europe ( Spain and Greece).
2019 – MMS continues its geographical expansion adding to its client portfolio accommodation facilities from other European countries: France, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Austria and Cyprus.
2019 is focused on a sectorial differentiation of MMS’s business on new vertical channels of the travel and tourism market. The potential of the solution and its flexibility in fact allow its successful adoption both in the car rental (among all, Europcar Italia) and tour operator markets.
2020 – MMS was selected to participate in the Global Launch Singapore, a program of 500 Startups dedicated to Series A startups from around the world with the aim of developing a targeted strategy for expansion in the Southeast Asian market, starting from Singapore.
The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Travel and Tourism pushes MMS to a deep adaptation and transformation of its digital solution, to meet and satisfy clients’ and travelers’ future needs, bearing in mind the probable fear of contagion, the new hygienic procedures and the effects of social distancing.
To meet these new needs, Manet becomes a complete digital concierge, which includes remote check-in and registration, possibility of booking ancillaries also before the arrival, tourist contents, travel tools, check-out and remote payment.
2021 – While the tourism sector gradually recovers, Manet Mobile Solutions extends its service for both car rental industry, thanks to the partnership with Avis Greece, and hospitality, thanks to new international agreement, that allows MMS to arrive in the US.
Furthermore, MMS releases wannaticket, the first platform with exclusive search and filtering options, allowing travelers to compare tickets prices and features from all leading providers and to take advantage of exclusive offers.
